About Sacha
Sacha Peter was elected to the Cultus Lake Park Board by the residents of Chililwack on November 2008 and re-elected on November 2011 and is serving a three-year term.
Sacha has a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of British Columbia and is a Certified Management Accountant. Some of his other past experiences include working as a systems engineer for a large company specializing in air traffic control and air defence systems, policy and communications work in the political/public domain, financial analysis, accounting work and writing. Sacha is also an active Dad with a nearly two year old son, which he has found to be more time consuming and all-encompassing than the other activities mentioned in this paragraph.
During his first term on the park board, Sacha served as the vice-chair of the park board from December 2008 to 2009 and from December 2010 to 2011 served as board chair. He also served on the Future Plan Advisory Committee (to collect public input for a future Park Use Plan update) and the Governance Committee (the terms of reference was to explore a potential amalgamation with the City of Chilliwack).
